In 1997 it occurred to us that the knots and cracks in wood,
the bits traditionally perceived as flaws and cut out,
were actually what gave it character as a material.
We launched a series that actively sought to incorporate these “flaws.”
Depending on handling, use and exposure to sunlight, every piece of furniture ages differently. As it grows old together with its owner, it develops a flavor and personality of its own. That’s what we want our furniture to be:
a tool that can be used for a very long time.

We make repeated prototypes and test them in our own lives,
experimenting until we’ve got something that feels right.
And it’s not just our furniture, even our fabrics and materials,
like leather seat covers, are all TRUCK originals.
We create each of our pieces one-by-one in the workshop below our store.
